WHUMP!
tons of metal thud and shudder
vehicles wrack uneasily against their brakes
barrels of saltwater dump on windshields
wild unrelenting southeast wind
straight up hale’s passage
building fierce determined waves
wrestling chaotically under the floating
placid and wan
effortless and silent
moon
