November 29*

fog at dawn photo by Amanda Wald Rachie

another dark dawn
pine branches swish and slap the house
rain slams and slathers the windows
long powerful rollers pound the beach

matia and sucia gone into fog
the nebulous enigmatic horizon now
just a bleary wetness of grey
advancing

Lovely poem, Luther. Your images remind me of Sharon Kingston’s paintings. She’s a local lady who combines her ethereal oils with Rilke’s poetry.
