the vast coherency
is larger
than thought
larger than this island
larger than this universe.
but held, centered
on each piece of grit on the beach
each wisp of wind, each droplet of dew, each leaf, each breath.
but to say how it works—
“connected” “balanced” “a world of relationships” “pulsing rhythm”—
the words are so small, and tired
