the aeolian drifters—
spiders, gnats, the strong of wing
light of body
rise from the island
blow to the west on
upswirl of storm
alighting lightly on
speckling
the snow fields, the glaciers
on mt baker
all the while we recieve
immigrants from
orcas and vancouver islands
